The Wisp Ski resort is located nearby. This resort is home to a thriving winter tourism industry and has expanded its offerings to include some summer activities as well. Fishing is extremely popular on the lake. Recreational boating in the summertime is as well. Fish commonly caught by anglers include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, brown trout, rainbow trout, black crappie, walleye, yellow perch, rock bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, common carp, chain pickerel, and northern pike.
